Seven Bridges Trail

The Seven Bridges Trail in Colorado Springs is an 8-mile loop trail that takes hikers and runners through the breathtaking landscapes of Garden of the Gods Park. This scenic trail passes by seven historic bridges, giving it its name and providing visitors with ample opportunities to take in some truly stunning views of the surrounding area.

The loop can be traveled clockwise or counterclockwise – both directions will offer up similar terrain and attractions. There are several points along the way where hikers can stop, rest, and enjoy the sights.
The main highlight of this unique loop trail is undoubtedly the seven historic bridges which give it its name. These include: The Balancing Rock Bridge, The Barnum Bridge, The Cog Railway Bridge, The White Rock Bridge, Windy Point Footbridge, The Strouds Run Bridge, and finally the aptly named Cave of the Winds Bridge. Each bridge provides a different perspective on the beautiful landscape around them – from red rocks to thick woodlands filled with native flora and fauna.
In addition to passing by each bridge along Seven Bridges Trail, visitors will also enjoy a variety of other attractions such as Red Rock Canyon Overlook which features stunning views of Colorado’s western mountain ranges as well as captivating rock formations crafted from sandstone and limestone; views from here are simply spectacular! Along the south side of this route hikers will find themselves immersed in nature thanks to Balance Rock Nature Center – a great spot for bird watching or taking photos!
